A brand-new cover for Escala’s Wish is finally here! This has been a long time coming, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you. Mersades Bergmann, who owns The Scriptorium Publishing, designed the new cover. It’s special because it uses real images—a crown, a vine, and a wedding dress—arranged to show what the story is really about.
Redesigning the cover was a big decision for me. There were two main reasons. First, the original cover didn’t show the right tone. Escala’s Wish is a wholesome story and even won the Mom’s Choice Award, but the old cover looked more like a spicy romance novel, which it isn’t. Second, the first cover used a real model but also had some AI-generated parts.
I want to avoid using AI, so in addition to redoing the book cover, I am also having a human artist redraw Crimson Jack Acorn III, Ms. Cassidy Vance, and Ava Honeysuckle.
The new cover feels softer, fits the story better, and looks much more professional. It really shows the spirit of Escala’s Wish and gives readers a good idea of what to expect.
