I’m feeling incredibly encouraged as the book launch gets closer. Whenever I bring my book to meetings or mention it to clients and board members—people who’ve known me for years as a securities attorney—they’re genuinely surprised (in the best way) that I wrote a romantasy novel.
What’s been even more amazing is how many tell me they actually read the genre themselves—or that their adult kids do—and they immediately ask where they can get a copy.
Honestly, it’s not even about the sales. As someone whose love language is Words of Affirmation, it absolutely fills my tank just hearing their excitement, their interest in the story, and their curiosity about why I decided to write a romantasy novel in the first place. It’s incredibly validating and has made this whole journey feel even more meaningful.
