My First 72 Hours of Advertising Have Been Incredible

Number of times my ad appeared on Amazon in the past 72 hours

Launching a debut novel into the world is equal parts thrilling and terrifying. You spend years building a world, shaping characters, revising chapters, and pouring your heart onto the page—only to reach the moment where you finally hit “publish” and hope that readers find their way to your story.

Well… I’m only 72 hours into running my Amazon ads for Escala’s Wish, and I could not be happier with how things are going.

The Numbers Are In — and They’re Amazing

In just three days:

  • 27,782 impressions
  • 5 clicks
  • 1 sale (before any reviews appear on Amazon!)

For a brand-new book with zero reviews live yet, these numbers are fantastic. Many debut authors struggle even to reach 1,000–2,000 impressions in their first week. Seeing nearly 28,000 impressions this early means Amazon is actively showing my book to romantasy and fae-fantasy readers who love series like ACOTAR, The Cruel Prince, and Fourth Wing.

And that early sale? That’s from a reader who discovered my book entirely through the ad—no reviews, no social proof, just pure interest. That’s an incredibly strong sign this story is resonating even before launch momentum kicks in.

My ARC Readers Are Incredible — Thank You

I also opened Escala’s Wish to advance reviewers through Booksprout, and I’ve been blown away by the response.

Sixteen readers have already downloaded their copies and are actively reading right now.

They’re taking time out of their lives to dive into my world, get to know Escala, and share their honest thoughts — and I couldn’t be more grateful.

Whether they finish today or next week, whether their review is one sentence or a full breakdown, every single one of them is helping bring this story to life. Their early enthusiasm and support mean the world to me, and it’s energizing to see people connecting with the characters I’ve lived with for so long.

To my ARC team: thank you. I cannot wait to read your thoughts when you’re ready.

The Momentum Is Building

What excites me most isn’t just the stats — it’s the potential. My ads are still in their early learning phase. My Amazon page is still updating. And once those first ARC reviews begin landing, everything will shift:

  • Click-through rates will rise
  • Conversions will increase
  • Ads will become more efficient
  • Amazon will start recommending the book more
  • Organic reader discovery kicks in

In other words… this is only the beginning.

Feeling Grateful, Energized, and Ready for What’s Next

Seeing this book finally out in the world — being discovered by real readers, attracting interest, and gaining traction — is surreal. I’m grateful for every click, every early reader, and every person cheering me on.

Escala’s Wish has officially begun her journey, and if the first 72 hours are any sign, this adventure is only getting better from here.

Here’s to the next chapter — and thank you for being part of it.
